Generative artificial intelligence has become a standard part of the workflow for most creators in India, according to a recent Adobe report. The 2026 Creators’ Toolkit found that 96% of Indian respondents who use creative AI say the technology has accelerated the growth of their business or audience. This high adoption rate suggests the tools are no longer experimental side projects but are now essential creative infrastructure for many professionals.
Efficiency is a primary driver for using these tools. 52% of respondents said AI helps them produce content faster and at a higher quality than they could without it. This speed benefit is paired with a significant boost in professional confidence; 80% of users reported feeling more confident or more serious about their work since adopting the technology.

For many, the technology provides a safety net. 71% of creators say AI-assisted content makes them feel more secure about their future in the industry. The data also shows a clear path forward, as 82% anticipate using creative AI even more over the next year. Nearly half of those surveyed—52%—indicate they always or often disclose when they have used AI tools, though a small portion—16%—admit they rarely or never do so.
While tools make production easier, the ability to distinguish one’s voice remains critical. When asked what makes it harder to stand out today compared to a year ago, 57% cited sheer content volume. Despite the flood of AI-generated material, 94% of creators believe the work they produce with assistance still reflects their unique voice. This belief is backed by 77% who insist that human judgment remains essential for creative taste.
Creators seek control over the process
As technology advances, the focus shifts to “agentic AI”—systems capable of executing multi-step tasks. Creators are clear about the boundaries they want to set with these agents. 87% believe the final creative decision should always remain with the human creator, regardless of whether they are using generative or agentic AI. This desire for control extends to transparency; 42% want to know exactly what the agent is doing and why, while 54% want the ability to review, edit, or undo actions at any point.

Control is a prerequisite for adoption, not an obstacle. The creators most willing to hand off routine tasks aren’t looking to step back; they want the time freed up to focus on learning new skills or developing higher-level creative ideas and direction. 24% say they would use that time to learn new creative skills, and 29% say they would spend more time on strategic direction.
Looking at the tools themselves, mobile devices are becoming the central hub for creative work. 96% of creators use AI tools on mobile devices, and 95% create content directly on those screens. From ideation to publishing, the smartphone has effectively replaced the traditional studio setup for a vast majority of the global creator base.
