Apple Boosts Prices Across Most Products

Apple has raised the prices of most of its products, according to the company’s CEO, Tim Cook. This change is now in effect, with devices such as iPads, Macs, home products, and Vision Pro becoming more expensive.

In the US, the iPhone, Apple Watch, and AirPods still start at the same price point. However, in Europe and South America, the starting price of most products has increased significantly.

Tim Cook stated in a recent interview that “I’ve never seen anything like it in any area in over 40 years.” The memory crisis has led companies like Samsung, Micron, and SK Hynix to prioritize server chip demand over RAM for customers.

Tim Cook noted that “unfortunately, price increases are unavoidable. We’re doing our best to mitigate the huge increases that are being passed to us, and we’ve been trying to shield our customers from the increases, but the situation has become unsustainable.”

The products that saw price increases include the MacBook Neo, MacBook Air, MacBook Pro, iMac, Mac Studio, base-model iPad, iPad Air, iPad Pro, Apple TV, HomePod, HomePod mini, and Apple Vision Pro.

It’s still early to say how the memory crisis will continue to affect Apple products. One thing is certain: customers should be more mindful of their next purchases, as the company has once again become a more expensive brand, and users may need to consider battery life when choosing a device.
