Spiro Kenya has entered a one‑year partnership with Gor Mahia Football Club, naming the club as its Official Electric Mobility Partner for the 2026/27 season, a move that aims to boost public awareness of electric transport across the country.

Partnership details and goals

The agreement links Kenya’s largest electric mobility provider with the nation’s most successful football team. Both parties see football as a potent channel for community outreach, and they plan to use the club’s extensive supporter base to promote sustainable transportation.

Vishal Mittal, Country Head of Spiro Kenya, said the deal reflects the company’s strategy to engage Kenyans through platforms that have a strong and lasting presence in communities. “Football has an unmatched ability to connect people, communities and ideas. Gor Mahia’s reach and influence make the club an ideal partner as we continue expanding conversations around electric mobility in Kenya,” he told reporters at the signing ceremony.

Ambrose Rachier, Chairman of Gor Mahia, added that the partnership strengthens the club’s commercial ties and creates new avenues for supporter interaction. “Football clubs today need strong partnerships to remain competitive and deliver value to their supporters. We are pleased to welcome Spiro Kenya as our Official Electric Mobility Partner,” he said.

Planned activities during the season

Throughout the 2026/27 campaign, Spiro Kenya and Gor Mahia will roll out matchday activations and digital campaigns. The initiatives are designed to reach fans both at stadiums and online, offering information on electric vehicles and related services.

Matchday events may include displays of electric scooters, charging stations, and interactive booths where spectators can learn about the benefits of electric mobility. Digital content will be shared via the club’s social media channels, aiming to spark conversations among followers.

Eliud Owano, patron of Gor Mahia, highlighted the broader significance of the collaboration. “Gor Mahia has always been more than a football club. For generations, the club has connected communities, inspired young people and brought supporters together through a shared passion for football,” he said, noting that the partnership could help spread awareness of electric mobility’s potential impact.

The collaboration is expected to generate mutual benefits. For Spiro Kenya, the arrangement offers exposure to one of East Africa’s largest football audiences, potentially translating into increased sales or service uptake.

For Gor Mahia, the deal adds a new commercial partner and supports the club’s aim to deepen engagement with its fan base.

Both organizations stressed that the partnership will not only promote electric vehicles but also highlight their relevance to everyday livelihoods and Kenya’s economic growth.
